Nike Zoom “81” Shoes
I am grateful to Lucas Mast from Sneakerblogger for the word. There will be a limited number of Nike Zoom “81” Shoes available for sale, today at the Venice basketball ground Los Angeles from 2.00pm (LA time). More details of the promotion are posted at why81.com. The first official signature shoes made by Nike have not been unavailable to buy. The name of the shoe celebrates Kobe Bryant’s memorable 81 point score last January (Jan. 22, 2006) in a 122-104 victory over the Toronto Raptors. The 81 is the second highest single-game point total in NBA history, behind only Wilt Chamberlain's 100 over 40 years ago. Copies of the shoes the Los Angeles Lakers favoutite, Kobe Bryant was wearing on the court will be available as a limited edition featuring a special sockliner with “81″ written on the collar lining circle and there is an inscription of the date: “January 21, 2006″ on the tongue top lining. The shoe includes a crocodile skin toe box. All 81 pairs on offer are Kobe’s size: 14 and will be sold for $81 to the first 81 people to successfully complete the scavenger hunt. The shoes come in a special, commemorative box and an 81-point anniversary commemorative book by Nike, with shots of the incredible game.
