The Reebok Freestyle was to the eighties what the Xbox is now, a must have. A quarter of a century later the Reebok Freestyle remains one of the best selling shoes of all time but who can tell where the box of electronics will be in 2033. Reebok have commemorated the evergreen shoe with "Freestyle Forever," and launch their new 25th Anniversary Freestyle Collection. The 2007 Freestyle collection features six limited-edition Freestyles ranging from retro to contemporary artist collaborations. The Reebok Freestyle was one of the first ranges to include women’s athletic shoes principally in response to the aerobics dance craze of the 1980s. Celebrity endorsements today includes model Cindy Crawford, singer Paula Abdul and Cybill Shepherd who wore a pair of bright orange Freestyles at the 1985 Emmy Awards. Nicole Vaidisova (tennis) enjoys the classic high-top design when he is wearing his jeans. Reebok International is a subsidiary of the adidas Group, the company operates under the Reebok, CCM, Jofa, and Koho brands and is based in Canton, Massachusetts.
