Kidz shoes:All things bright and beautiful

The CIGNA Falmouth Road Race began in 1972, and has become one of the elite events in distance running attracting annually many of the best athletes in the world. A running team in Massachusetts, will compete in the 35th CIGA Group Insurance Falmouth Road Race (August 12th) wearing red shoelaces. The significance is to draw attention to childhood obesity and how best to overcome the problem. The red laces are a signature element of the Saucony Run for Good(SM)Foundation. Saucony, Inc., a subsidiary of The Stride Rite Corporation , is a leading global supplier of performance athletic footwear and apparel. Saucony, Inc established the Foundation to financially support non-profit organizations that offer fitness and running programs for children. Childhood obesity has become a growing concern with serious, long-term effects on health and disability. Seventeen percent of children ages two to 19 are overweight, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and retrosective studies have shown eighty percent of children who were overweight at ages 10 to 15 years were obese adults at age 25 years. CIGNA have asked their employees to support the initiative by wearing red laces. The proceeds of "If You Can't Race, Lace" campaign sale of red laces will benefit the Run for Good(SM) Foundation. Saucony, Inc. On the subject of bright colours Livie & Luca sell European inspired children’s shoes embellished with consumer-approved designs of children's artwork like elephants, butterflies, soccer balls, dots and veggies. Toddler and pre-schoolers’ shoes are available in bright vivid colours and bold designs full of whimsical touches. The shoes are made from the softest leather with flexible, light-weight soles which are ideal for early walkers. Popular with the celebrity moms like Angelina Jolie, Marcia Cross, Kate Winslet, Brooke Shields, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Reese Witherspoon. Livie & Luca are also doing their part to minimize damage to the environment because each pair of shoes arrives in a reusable cloth bag and 10% of all proceeds are donated to a rotating selection of charities.

Recently Cute Baby Shoes ran a competition recently to design a new pair of children’s shoes. Ten styles were short listed and the final two designs will become part of the Cute Baby Shoes line. The two wining designs were a bright red lobster with black eyes and on a sea of blue background; and a gumball machine with little gumballs in various colours. The new designs will be available from Hollywood’s favourite baby shoe shop, Robeez. The outlet is renowned for its soft-soled leather shoes for kidees. Regular customers include Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Kate Hudson, Brooke Shields, and Liv Tyler. Nothing wrong with a bit of a change especially for a fashion conscious 19 month year old. Recently photographed was the daughter of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner wearing a pair of Crocs Kids Disney Cayman.
