Scottish Charity Shoe Auction

Attention all shoe lovers there is a celebrity footwear auction this week on on ebay which was organised by OneStepBeyond 2008. OSB is made up of staff and students of Angus College at Arbroath, Scotland and the auction proceeds go to Cancer Research, Cash For Kids, No More Landmines, and Angus College Charitable Trust. All together there are 19 pairs for sale with generous donations from A-listers: Daniel Redcliffe (donatyed a pair of Harry Potter shoes), Robin Williams (donated his handmade gold trainers –signed ), Sir Elton John (donated his 1975 original stage shoes), Andy Murray (donated his trainers), Barry Ferguson (donated football boots), Stephen Fry (donated his hairy monster slippers), Jo Brand (donated her decks), Emma Thompson (donated her Jimmy Choo shoes as worn to the Nannny McPhee Hollywood premier), Christian Dailly (donated football boots), Steven Pressley (donated football boots), Tamzin Outhwaite (donated black strappy sandals), and Graham Norton (donated Versace shoes).The shoes are being sold with letters of authentication and the sale closes at noon on Sunday, October 19. The auction is the culmination of a campaign which began last year with a launch at City Quay in Dundee, with help of Ewan McGregor, Emma Thompson, Robin Williams and Lorraine Kelly. There was also a record breaking attempt to line up 20,000 shoes in a local park. That is a three mile long line of shoes. Organisers had asked for donation of shoes with money in them. The donated shoes were sent to Africa and the money was divided between different charities.
