Milan Fashion Week:MJ's boots kick it off

If you were in Milan last week you could not miss the Fashion Week which was kicked off with a pair of Michael Jackson’s boots. Janet Jackson hosted an auction for the benefit of the American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR). Entry cost anywhere from $2,200 to $11,500 and the star attraction was a pair of Swarovski crystal-studded boots MJ singer was intending to wear on stage at London's O2 Arena during his residency. A host of eager MJ fans wagered on the famous boots with the final successful bid at $14,650. A second highlight was a custom made leather jacket produced by the Dsquared2 label. The heavily sought after item created a bidding war between rapper, Kanye West and Diesel founder and owner Renzo Rosso. Rosso’s winning bid was $52,740. All told, the auction raised a total of $1.1 million (US) for the charity.
