Rugby players in platforms - whatever next?

Seems the tricks of running shoes are passing over into the design of rugby boot as seen with the new Asics HG10mm Technology. The heels of the boots are raised by 10mm to help pivot the foot forward and release the strain on the Achilles, calf, hamstring, hip and back. As all the football codes are speeding up it is hoped the new technology will provide optimal support and protection from lower limb injuries.
