Kitsap County Historical Museum, Bremerton has a new exhibition called “Made for Walkin’,” and documents the life and times of wearers through the past century. On display is an array of footwear varies from Marvin Williams’s massive basketball kicks to spiked, cork boots (Caulk) worn by lumberjacks. The exhibit also includes information on shoe manufacturing, with machines borrowed from cobbler shops.
On display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art is “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty”.
