World's biggest shoe thief

For many years shoe stores have had to contend with display footwear going AWOL. An average of 50 display shoes goes missing from sneaker shops each year. Despite the inconvenience and cost to the retailers not much serious attention has been paid to catch the thieves simply because it is often dismissed as an aberration or kids just larking around. Now sneakers have become blue chip investment New York retailers have noticed shoe theft is up and believe gangs are researching displays carefully and targeting shoe stores to match right and left display shoes in the same size.
