Minimalist shoes are all the rage

There are plenty to choose these days from the cushion-free Vibram Fivefingers and Merrell Barefoot shoes to something with a bit more structure, like the New Balance Minimus Trail and Altra Instinct. Now adidas has joined the market and released their new Adidas AdiZero Tempaia 2.0 trainer for women and a newer version of the ultra lightweight Adidas AdiZero Feather 2. The latter now features a miCoach cavity embedded into the shoe, which lets wearers insert the new miCoach SPEED_CELL. Using the miCoach sensor, runners can record up to eight hours of performance data, including distance, speed, pace, time, and number of sprints, as well as time and distance in speed zones, and provides personal data to share and compare with friends. The look and feel of the Adizero Feather 2 (6.7oz./190g for a men's UK size 8.5 and 5.6oz./160g for a women's UK size 5.5) can also be found in the Adizero Prime, the lightweight sprint spike (3.5oz./99g, men's size UK 8.5). The Brooks PureProject is also unrolling its latest lightweight and flexible running shoe, PureDrift.
