Google Glass: Walking technology

Google have just given a glimpse of the future at the South by Southwest (SXSW) conference in Austin with a pair of talking shoes. The company are commited to a project, 'Art, Copy and Code' and have developed the wearable device in coordination with interactive startup YesYesNo, ad agency 72andSunny, and Adidas. The prototype shoe is equipped with an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a pressure sensor, and Bluetooth so that it will provide feedback and motivation based on movement throughout the day. Collected data transfers to a web app on a mobile phone and can be translated in real-time into funny and motivating commentary which can be networked to social media. Feedback can be relayed to a speaker connected in the top tongue of the shoe. The original shoe was developed by Leif Percifield.
