Disney shoe crew: Christmas collectables

Disney World is now selling shiny fanciful collectibles shaped like shoes and inspired by beloved animated characters. There are 19 in the collection all about 3.5 inches tall. They represent Disney villains such as Queen of Hearts, Cruella De Vil, Ursula, Evil Queen and Maleficent and are not reproductions of the characters but interpretations of their looks and personalities. The various shoe forms are not all from the same mold with The Cruella De Vil shoe longer and pointier, reflecting the "101 Dalmatians" character's sharp personality. Heels get star treatment with Rapunzel's heel like braided hair. The shoe of Ursula, footless villainess, rests upon a tentacle heel. Mary Poppins is propped up by the handle of her omnipresent umbrella. One shoe distinguishes itself from the rest inspired by a male character. The high heel for Jack Skellington ("Nightmare Before Christmas") has a bat and jack-o'-lantern motif. The shoes sell for $22.95 each and can be displayed as seen or hung as a Christmas decorations. The novelty footwear is available in select theme-park stores and at the Disney's Days of Christmas store at Downtown Disney. Disney World plans to release other shoe model if the novely line proves popular.
