Oregon man blames Nike for violent assault conviction
Recently a convicted felon who violently stomped on the head of a man who refused to pay his 18-year-old prostitute is suing Nike for $100 million, claiming the shoe manufacturer is partially responsible for a brutal beating for which he was sentenced to 100 years in prison. The lawsuit against Nike was filed in Multnomah County Circuit Court and stated the shoe company should have warned customers the extremely popular Air Jordan brand shoes could be used as a dangerous weapon. He has asked the shoe company to place a warning label on its product.
