Another foot washes up on the Pacific Northwest

A human foot was washed ashore in King County, Washington recently. The sex, age, ancestry, and stature of the foot's owner remain unknown. The foot and tennis shoe (New Balance athletic sneaker) were discovered in Centennial Park near Seattle’s Pier 86. A black, cotton Hanes brand sock was also on the foot. According to a forensic expert the foot was not severed but had detached from the body as it decomposed at sea. The shoe not only protects the decomposing foot but because its buoyancy floats on the tides carrying them hundreds of miles. This is the 15th foot washed ashore in the Pacific Northwest since 2007.
