A Mile in My Shoes
A Mile in My Shoes is an interactive exhibition at this year's Perth International Arts Festival. Housed in a giant shoe box, it invites visitors to enter and put on the shoes of a stranger - literally - and then listen to the audio story - via headphones - of the person who owns the shoes. The project has gathered a diverse range of stories (and shoes) from people who live in Perth; there's a refugee, a sex worker, a FIFO worker, and a ninety-six year old runner.
The exhibition is a collaboration between Britain's The Museum of Empathy and the WA Centre for Stories.
