Turkik remains discovered
Archaeologists in Mongolia have discovered in Altai Mountains, Mongolia, partial remains of a woman whose feet were encased in boots that would not be out of place in a modern shoe shop. The 1.5k year old remains were discovered at an altitude of 9,200 feet and now considered to be the first complete Turkik burial in Central Asia. The Turkik people were a vast collection of ethnic groups that spanned Central Asia and Siberia during the 6th century BC. Only the hand and the feet have been found but were incredibly well-preserved mainly due to the cold temperatures.
